Project Information:
Located in a long-neglected area in the northern part of Ybor City, this 16,650 s.f. building originally housed the Sanchez & Haya Real Estate Company office on the first floor which was tantamount to the development of the Ybor City area. Vacant for several years and in poor condition, the Owner proposes to fully rehabilitate the building and take advantage of Historic Preservation Tax Credits.

Preservation Resource, Inc. Responsibilities:  

• Assist the owner in identifying appropriate adaptive uses for the building
• Prepare existing conditions drawings
• Evaluate the structural and historic element condition of the building
• Prepare rehabilitation plans and specifications
• Represent the Owner at Barrio Latino Commission meetings (local historic preservation review board)
• Prepare Tax Credit application and act as liaison with the State Historic Preservation Office
• Prepare construction drawings and specifications in conjunction with engineering professionals
• Assist Owner in locating suitable preservation contractor
• Provide construction administrative services
